Abstract
The central premise of precision medicine is that an individual’s unique characteristics play a role in disease vulnerability. Studies have shown that regional normative modeling-based measures can capture inter-individual heterogeneity, however, little is known about their clinical relevance. Here, we investigate if significant deviations from the reference are associated with cognitive performance, a key illness dimension in schizophrenia, in medication-naïve first episode psychosis patients. We also examine if individual structural deviations in cortical thickness can be mapped to specific domains in cognitive function.
