Approximately 60% of mothers experience postpartum mood disturbances. Most mothers recover but a significant subset (10-15%) develop postpartum depression (PPD). The present study aimed to examine anhedonia, changes in neuroimmune and endocrine function, and functional brain connectivity postpartum.
