摘要
Prior traumatic exposure (TE) worsens suicide risk and treatment-refractoriness in depression. Reduced kynurenic acid (KYNA) and its neuroprotective ratio KYNA/ kynurenine (KYNA/KYN) were previously experimentally linked with early TE and clinically with suicidal-self-directed- violence (SSDV). We investigated links between neuroprotective kynurenines with TE, SSDV and specific suicide risk-factors.
