High-sensitivity profiling of glycoproteins from ovarian cancer sera using lectin-affinity and LC-ESI-Q-TOF-MS/MS

•Aberrantly expressed glycoproteins can be considered as cancer biomarkers.•Microalgal lectins show strong ability to isolate glycosylated protein from serum sample of ovarian cancer.•Lectin-affinity chromatography coupled with LC-ESI-Q-TOF-MS/MS technique could detect serine protease1 from serum sample with an appreciable score.•PRSS1 gene is responsible for the expression of serine protease1.
