摘要
•Portulaca oleracea extract (POE) had excellent antioxidant activity and abundant antioxidant compounds.•Active films based on chitosan/starch incorporated with POE (CS/POE) were developed.•The CS/POE films presented remarkable DPPH radical scavenging capability.•The CS/POE films exhibited better meat preservation effect than polyethylene film.•POE has great application potential in active packaging for meat preservation.
