Optimal timing of delivery in patients with pregestational diabetes mellitus

SMFM and ACOG recommend delivery at 36-39 6/7 weeks or earlier for patients with pregestational diabetes (DM) based on DM control and comorbidities. The optimal gestational age (GA) that balances the risk of stillbirth with risks of delivery is unknown. Our objective was to evaluate the risk of adverse outcomes with expectant management at increasing GA.
