Abstract
The challenges of the 4th Industrial Revolution and of an imminent 5th Industrial Revolution promote changes in the labor market, requiring more directed qualification and reskilling for the workforce and the training of hard skills and, in this period, mainly soft skills. To this end, it is necessary to understand how education has evolved over time, leading to Education 5.0, important for the training of, for example, Engineering professionals, being a necessary professional for the digital transformation to occur. Therefore, this paper aims to present the evolution toward Education 5.0 and the development of soft skills in engineering education. As a method, a Systematic Literature Review was used, by means of the PRISMA methodology, to survey pertinent literature. The bibliographic portfolio was analyzed through content analysis with the help of the tool QSR NVIVO version 10. The analyzed content allowed us to verify the advent of industrial revolutions until Industry 5.0, how education has evolved over time until the Education 5.0 and what are the main soft skills developed. This research can help universities, graduating students, teachers, and professionals to qualification and reskilling themselves according to the needs of Industry 4.0 and 5.0.
