摘要
Euclid is an European Space Agency (ESA) mission and a milestone to understand the mysterious dark matter and dark energy. The mission will investigate the distance-redshift relationship and the evolution of cosmic structures by measuring shapes and redshifts of galaxies and clusters of galaxies out to redshifts 2, or equivalently to a look-back time of 10 billion years. The Euclid mission will be launched in 2023 and will process up to 26 PB per year of observations, of which the most scientifically valuable data will be publicly released through the Euclid Science Archive System (SAS). Euclid preceded by Gaia are the ESA missions heading the new era of big data in the cosmology field. The huge volume and heterogeneous data that SAS will manage, is a challenge in terms of infrastructure and software solutions. In this paper, we will describe the technological solutions adopted that will enable scientific research in terms of interactive image visualization, query service at scale, exploitation of astronomical catalogues and scientific analysis.
