Surgery Open Digestive Advance(2023)
Abstract
•Gallbladder disease is a frequent complication of patients undergoing sleeve gastrectomy.•The gallbladder ultrasound result pre-bariatric surgery is an important determinant of the decision to perform concomitant cholecystectomy with sleeve gastrectomy.•Concomitant performance of bariatric surgery and cholecystectomy remains relatively infrequent in Lebanon.•Undergoing both concomitant cholecystectomy with sleeve gastrectomy is not associated with worse outcomes in terms of length of hospital stay but resulted in longer operative time.
