Conferols A and B from the stems of Dracaena conferta Ridl.

Two new tetracyclic phenolic compounds, conferols A and B, along with five known flavonoids were isolated from the stems of Dracaena conferta. The structures of the isolated compounds were identified from their spectroscopic data and by comparison with the literature. In addition, the absolute configuration of conferol A was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction experiments and electronic circular dichroism (ECD) calculations as well as comparison with the literature values.
