Superior electrocatalytic negative electrode with tailored nitrogen functional group for vanadium redox flow battery

A novel negative electrode with pyridonic-N and nitro functional groups is designed by tailoring nitrogen functional groups from the pre-nitrogen-doped electrode. Both groups can accelerate mass and charge transfer toward the V2+/V3+ redox reaction.
