摘要

•Heat-killed P. acnes cell pyroptosis, pyroptotic inflammatory factors and catabolic enzymes were suppressed by Lutein.•Lutein effectively improved inflammation in living P. acnes-induced mice model group.•Lutein attenuated P. acnes-caused pyroptosis and the inflammation via the TLR4/NLRP3/Caspase-1 pathway.
