Pr3+-doped Cu-Co nano ferrites: study on its microstructure, morphology, and magnetic properties
JOURNAL OF MATERIALS SCIENCE-MATERIALS IN ELECTRONICS(2023)
Abstract
In this experiment, Pr3+-doped Cu-Co spinel nano ferrite was synthesized by the sol-gel method. The crystal structure, phase, morphology, and magnetic properties of the ferrite material were studied by XRD, FTIR, SEM, EDS, VSM, and UV-Vis. The phase of the sample was found to be a cubic spinel phase with a small amount of PrFeO3. The particles showed cubic structure and Pr3+ was successfully doped into the ferrite. The magnetization of the material decreases first and then increases with increasing Pr3+ doping, the coercivity also increases. When Pr3+ doping is 0.075, the coercivity reaches the maximum Hc = 389.170 Oe. The lower perpendicularity indicates that the material is more suitable for high-frequency components and the sample has semiconductor properties.
