摘要
Scientists are interested in graphene oxide (GO) for its photoluminescence because it may have optoelectronic applications; this is in part due to the formation of a band gap. Since PL elucidates the GO's band structure, the material's potential in imaging, sensing, biological diagnostics, optoelectronics, etc., is expanded. The present research looks into how a modified version of Hummer's approach affects GO's absorption and photoluminescence. Absorption was observed in the near visible range at 300 nm, and the produced sample showed a broad PL with distinct peaks at 360 nm, 443 nm, 480 nm, 690 nm, and 715 nm. The analysis of the GO sample has been carried out using X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared, Raman, and scanning electron microscopy analysis.
