Wearable Multimodule Bio-signal Acquisition System: Brain Multi-Plus

neurodegenerative diseases (ND) are common in the elderly population. Neurofeedback is a new treatment for ND. By converting multimodule bio-signals into sound, images, and other accessible messages for humans, the treatment enhances self-regulation of patients. Most commercial instruments can only acquire single module bio-signals. To effectively intervene in neurodegenerative diseases, a wearable multimodule synchronous bio-signal acquisition system was developed. Composed of 32 channels dry electrode EEG headset, ECG device, PPG device and RSP device, the system has been designed for multiple bio-signals acquisition and synchronous acquisition. The advantages of this system are its high accuracy and low delay. The r value between a wet electrode and a dry electrode is about 96% on average; the average error between an ECG, PPG and RSP signal is 2.32%, 6.16% and 3.75% with a Brain Products device. The delay time when synchronizing multimodule signals is less than 2ms. In conclusion, the development of wearable multimodule bio-signal acquisition systems provides more options for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.
