A three-dimensional laminated carbon–sulfur composite cathode (rGO-TC/S) is prepared by embedding sulfur in Trichoderma derived carbon hosts with the assistance of supercritical CO2 fluid and flanking it with rGO supporting layers via vacuum filtration. Li-S batteries with laminated rGO-TC/S cathode exhibit superior electrochemical performance at 0.1 A g−1.
