摘要

•Core-shell structure Mg-MOF-74@MSiO2 with mesoporous silica shell is successfully synthesized by sol-gel method.•The mesoporous silica shell reduces the release rate of Mg2+ from Mg-MOF-74 in PBS medium.•Mg-MOF-74@MSiO2 has no cytotoxicity and has potential to promote bone formation and vascularization.
