Synthesis of high quality gold nanorod using m-phenylenediamine as the reducing agent

摘要
It is proposed and demonstrated that by use of m-phenylenediamine as a reducing agent that shows a relatively strong atmosphere, gold nanorod with a small diameter of around 13.2 nm and a largest plasmon wavelength of beyond 1000 nm could be simultaneously acquired in high monodispersity and high shape yield. Finely controls over the plasmon wavelength and particle size can be achieved through changing the amounts of silver ion.
