Digitization at DVGS

The megatrend of digitization is changing many areas of daily life. It is also changing the German healthcare system and is bringing with it a variety of new services as well as health offers and terminologies. At the same time, there is need to promote the digital health literacy among the population. These developments have a formative influence on the DVGS as well. For quality assurance and professionalization and in accordance with the statutory goals, this topic has firmly been anchored in the association's structures. In this context, a structured procedure for planning, controlling and evaluating the digitization of the association is being developed (digitization strategy). This article provides an overview of the main measures of this digitization strategy with regard to the important areas of activity of the DVGS such as the course system, workplace health promotion, prevention, committee work and sports/exercise therapy care. Further digitization measures (e. g., member administration and member service) are planned from next year.
