Abstract
•The solubility of cannabidiol (CBD) in ten plant oils and 28 hydrophobic eutectic systems (ES) was investigated.•The CBD solubility was influenced by the structure of the oils and ESs constituents.•COSMO-RS was applied to predict the CBD solubility in oils and ES.•COSMO-RS was found to be an efficient tool for screening and designing ESs for CBD delivery applications.
