Dual Gaussian Beam Scattering of Chiral Spheres

Chiral media have been widely used in optical field and microwave field due to their special properties. The interaction between chiral spheres and electromagnetic waves is one of the important research directions. In this paper, the scattering of chiral spheres is studied based on the theory of electromagnetism. Based on the generalized Lorentz-Mie theory, a theoretical method is proposed to study the scattering of chiral particles illuminated by double Gaussian beams. By using the coordinate rotation theorem of sphere vector wave function, the beam is propagated in any direction and expanded by sphere vector wave function in the sphere coordinate system. By superposition of the vector field, the total expansion coefficient of the incident field is derived, and the numerical results of the scattering field of the chiral medium sphere are obtained.
