Abstract
This paper develops robust multiple frequency voltage-mode control for a DC-DC boost converter with parameter uncertainties as well as load and source voltage disturbances. By frequency characteristics on the different types of disturbances, multiple frequency intervals are addressed in a small signal model of the DC-DC boost converter. Then the analysis on stability and robustness is presented over the multiple frequency intervals via an integral quadratic constraint method. A two-stage algorithm is designed to obtain a specific voltage-mode controller ensuring desired H∞ performance. Simulation results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed controller on the H∞ performance level, the maximum voltage fluctuation and the regulating time. Furthermore, some experiments are conducted to illustrate the superior performance of the proposed controller in actual voltage regulation.
