摘要
This paper presents the methodology and experimental results for a 140 GHz (millimeter-wave, sub-TeraHertz) channel sounding measurement campaign in and around the Qualcomm Bridgewater, NJ, USA facility. Measurements of the power delay profile were collected and analyzed to establish the estimated channel parameters of a typical indoor office environment. Channel parameters include path loss exponent, RMS delay spread, and shadow fading. Foliage loss is also presented for a selection of trees located on the Qualcomm campus. In addition to the results presented for 140 GHz, a comparison is made to previous measurements within the same facility at 2.9 GHz and 29 GHz. Implications to coverage are analyzed and compared to predictions from direct extension of existing channel models. This paper represents the initial work from an ongoing effort for estimating channel effects at 140 GHz and a continuation of channel sounding measurements collected at the Qualcomm facility. The goal of this effort is to add more diversity to the millimeter-wave/sub-TeraHertz measurement campaigns to better establish a well-defined channel model for frequencies above 100 GHz.
