Critique of the role of the state in the spread of climate denialism: The measure provisional 1136/2022 and the political economy of ignorance

This article intends to understand the sociopolitical impacts of the diffusion of climate denialism in the light of political economy. In this sense, a dialogue was carried out with the concept of "surveillance capitalism " of the American philosopher Shoshana Zuboff, with the informationalism of the Spanish sociologist Manuel Castells, with the concept of political economy of the Polish-German philosopher Rosa Luxemburg and the concept of the device of surveillance. power of the French philosopher Michel Foucault. The text uses the hypothetical-deductive methodology, seeking a dialogue between the different theoretical approaches, and with the research of bibliographic review. By understanding climate denialism as a discursive practice that translates into a strategic device with a political-ideological purpose of legitimizing an anti-environmental policy based on neoliberal reason.
