Renewable raw materials-based plasticizers for poly(vinyl chloride)

Poly(vinyl chloride) plasticizers based on renewable raw materials were reviewed. A new classification of plasticizers was proposed, where the main criterion was the origin of raw materials used for syntheses. In particular, bioplasticizers based on vegetable oils and succinic acid were taken into consideration. The reasons of changes and main market trends were presented.
