Syntheses, Structure-Regulation, and Photoelectric Properties of 2-Pyridinecarbaldehyde Oxime Assembled Titanium Oxo Clusters

[Ti-2(mu(2)-O)(Pycox)(2)((OPr)-Pr-i)(4)] (1) was solvotherrnally synthesized by the reaction of 2-pyridi recarbaldehyde oxime (Hpycox) and Ti((OPr)-Pr-i)(4) in a simple and general approach. Interestingly, by analyzing the structure of 1, diphenylphosphinic acid and phenylphosphonic acid were selected respectively to regulate the structure of 1, and [Ti-3(mu(2)-O),(Pycox)(2)(Ph2PO2),((OPr)-Pr-i)(4)] (2) and [Ti-6(mu(2)-O)(2)(mu(3)-O)(2)(Pycox)(2)(PhPO3)(4)((OPr)-Pr-i)(6)]center dot 2CH(3)CN (3) were successfully obtained. Moreover, their light absorption behaviors, band gaps, and photocurrent responses were also investigated. The band gaps of complexes 1-3 were 2.89, 3.00, and 2.87 eV, respectively. Among the three complexes, complex 2 exhibited the largest photocurrent density with the value of 0.10 mu A.cm(-2).
