Design and application of timber architecture in rural landscape sketches-A case study of Nanhai Lishui in Foshan, Guangdong

Landscape sculpture is the finishing touch to the landscape; it is both a landscape and a work of art. In the current tourism planning for rural revitalization, it is not suitable to introduce many modern styles. Instead, raw construction wood is an excellent choice. Taking the village of Nanhaili Water Town, Foshan, Guangdong, as an example, this research is carried out from four aspects: public art sculptures, outdoor furniture, building materials, and structures separating walls. This paper summarizes the characteristics and applications of building wood and provides ideas for the use of original ecological building materials in rural construction in the future.
