Implementation of a Resistive Pressure Sensor Made With “Linqstat” for Automotive

This paper is a study of a relatively new material -Linqstat (Velostat) used as a touch force sensor that can be used to monitor the weight and position of passengers. First, a presentation of the material is given, and then some aspects and generalities regarding conductive film pressure sensors are reviewed. Here are the steps that led to the creation of a Linqstat sensor and how to apply these types of sensors to a rigid mount that can be included in the seat of a vehicle. The problems that arise in this process are then addressed and several research directions are indicated to solve them. Several experimental modes aimed at verifying the properties of the dedicated automotive sensor are presented. Finally, the following approach is indicated to make the measured values as accurate as possible.
