Morphology and distribution of antennal sensilla in the pine wood nematode insect vectors Monochamus alternatus Hope and Monochamus saltuarius Gebler (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae)

•Antennae sensilla of Monochamus alternatus and Monochamus saltuarius were compared.•Sensilla were classified into four types: trichodea, basiconica, chaetica, and coeloconica.•Chemoreceptors were identified as two types of sensilla: trichodea and basiconica.
