Personalized symptom clusters that predict depression treatment outcomes: A replication of machine learning methods

•Three symptom clusters of depression were externally verified use machine learning methods.•Treatment trajectories of antidepressants demonstrate different treatment effects for each symptom profile.•A smaller group of baseline predictors were identified and can potentially help clinicians to choose best personalized treatment for depression patients.
