摘要
Findings from adults indicate that there are potential differences between major depressive episodes associated with bipolar disorder (BD; ie, bipolar depression) vs MDD (ie, unipolar depression). For example, there is evidence of greater guilt, suicidal ideation, and motoric retardation in bipolar depression, although findings are heterogeneous. Comparatively little is known regarding differences in bipolar vs unipolar depression in youth. The present study aims to compare depressive symptoms among youth with BD to those among youth referred for assessment of BD who did not meet the criteria for BD.
