Two novel Anderson-type polyoxometalate based MnIII complexes constructed from pyrene derivatives: Synthesis, photophysical, and electrochemical properties

•This work reports the design, synthesis, and properties of novel organic–inorganic hybrid pyrene-POM compounds.•These novel organic–inorganic hybrids retained the unique photophysical properties of their precursor pyrene compounds.•Obtained results might offer a new route for the design of new charge transfer hybrid clusters of organo-functionalized POMs and crucial guidance for their applications in optical and electrical devices.
