Naldrett. Tony was one of the world’s best-known geologists through his research on the origins of many of the world’s major magmatic Ni-Cu-platinum group element (PGE) deposits. His work ranged from thermodynamically rigorous laboratory experiments to exhaustive field and petrologic study. His research is chronicled in around 200 refereed and 40 unrefereed papers, 50 chapters in books, a 1989 book, Magmatic Sulfide Deposits (Naldrett, 1989), a 1990 Reviews in Economic Geology volume coedited with James Whitney titled Ore Deposition Associated with Magmas (Whitney and Naldrett,...
