Abstract
The development of nanotechnology and the synthesis of nanomedicine from a variety of sources have shown to be incredibly beneficial in the field of biomedicine. In research for the treatment of many diseases, the smaller size of nanoparticles is becoming more significant. Additionally, nanoparticle production is both economical and environmentally friendly. In the present study, metallic nanoparticles were synthesized from Carica papaya seeds utilizing a 1 mm solution of silver nitrate and an eco-friendly method. For the green synthesis of silver nanoparticles, various volumes of aqueous Carica papaya seed extract are described: 5ml, 10ml, 15ml, 20ml, and 25ml. Using UV-visible absorption spectroscopy, FTIR, SEM, and HPLC, the nanoparticles are studied. The synthesis was based on the phenomena of Surface Plasmon resonance, as indicated by UV- spectra between 200-600nm. The FTIR spectrum demonstrates the existence of Amine, Alcohol, Aldehyde, Aromatic, C-H bending, and C-O bending functional groups as their concentration increases in papaya seed extracts. The SEM study reveals that silver nanoparticles have a helical structure that exhibits high antioxidant and antibacterial characteristics against pathogens such as E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus, as well as good antimicrobial activity.
