摘要
Several types of commercial High-performance ductile concrete (HPDC) are utilised in developed countries like Canada, the USA, Australia, etc. and the properties of the HPDC have been characterised by numerous experimental and field tests. The performance of HPDC is much better than the performance of normal concrete. The concrete is already developed by using Portland cement, silica fume, quartz powder, copper slag, high range water reducing admixture and micro steel fibre. This research aims to study and simulate the bullet penetration for the developed HPDC and validate against the mathematical modelling. The properties like dynamic young's modulus and impact energy are evaluated by using the ultrasonic pulse velocity test and Charpy impact test. This dynamic modulus and dynamic poison ratio are required for AUTODYN modelling to perform the explicit dynamic analysis. The ballistic penetration of ductile high-performance concrete is simulated in ANSYS AUTODYN with various velocities of 9 mm bullet on the surface of the concrete slab. The size of the concrete slab is 2 x 2 x 1.5 m. The results in terms of the depth of penetration, perforation limit and scabbing limit are compared.
