Spent coffee ground valorization by CO2/Steam-enhanced gasification.•Waste-to-hydrogen assessment considering energy and exergy aspects.•CO2/Steam gasification showed clear energetic and H2 exergy efficiency improvements.•0.18 CO2/biomass and 1.2 SBR as the optimum conditions for H2-rich gas production.•0.27 CO2/biomass and 0.8 SBR provided a higher syngas yield, LHVsyngas and CGE.
