摘要
People who suffer from eating disorders have physiological alterations in the control mechanisms of hunger and satiety. These mechanisms are regulated by signals from the digestive system, signals from the central nervous system, and informative signals of nutritional and metabolic status. Knowing these mechanisms and the substances implied in their regulation, we try to understand the possible causes of these alterations, and their possible changes after overcoming the disorder, differentiating between Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and obesity caused by Binge Eating Disorder. The objective of this review is to evaluate the physiological alterations presented by patients with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and Binge Eating Disorder in the control mechanisms of hunger and satiety during the development of the eating disorder, and to assess the continuity of these alterations after overcoming disorder.
