Abstract
AIM: To study the serum levels of TNF-α, IFN-γ and MCP-1 in patients with Behcet's disease(BD).METHOS: Twenty-five patients with BD as study group and 30 normal volunteers as control group were inclued in the study. Serum levels of TNF-α, IFN-γ and MCP-1 were measured. RESULTS: Serum levels of TNF-α, IFN-γ and MCP-1 were significant higher in active BD patients than in normal controls.CONCLUSION: Our results suggest that serum levels of TNF-α, IFN-γ and MCP-1 abnormally increased in active BD paiteins. The higher expression may play a role in the pathogenesis of BD.
