Septum-associated microtubule organizing centers within conidia support infectious development by the blast fungus Magnaporthe oryzae

•This study provides improved insight into the subcellular cytoskeletal organization of the M. oryzae conidium and appressorium, with implications for the understanding of inter- and intracellular transport and polarity establishment during appressorium development.
