Analysis of metabolic and transcription levels provides insights into the interactions of plant hormones and crosstalk with MAPKs in the early signaling response of cherry tomato fruit induced by the yeast cell wall

•JA and BR are the main early response signals rapidly induced by yeast cell wall.•The SA pathway was inhibited by activation of the JA pathway.•JA and SA signal pathways have crosstalk with MAPK3 pathway to regulate resistance.•The BR pathway may function independently in the regulation of fruit resistance.
