摘要

•Far-red light (FR) affected morphological response and photosynthetic capacity.•3D analysis showed a higher light interception of kale under a higher FR fraction.•ETR efficiencies of PS II and I under FR decreased but photosynthesis increased.•Yield increased by FR-induced synergistic effect of morphology and photosynthesis.
