Abstract

•A MnOx-decorated oxygen-doped g-C3N4 (OCNM) photocatalyst was synthesized successfully.•The OCNM can efficient remove U(VI) under aerobic and visible LED light irradiation.•The OCNM possessed good recyclability, high selectivity and structural stability.•Photocatalytic mechanism of U(VI) by OCNM was deeply investigated.
