Abstract
•Self-biased TE-coupled PEC hybrid system for hydrogen generation is demonstrated.•The Ag/NaNbO3 photoanode onset potential is cathodic shifted in a hybrid system.•A ∼17 times enhancement in the H2 production of TE-coupled PEC system is achieved.
