Location, Capacity and Reactive Power Optimization Technology of the Power Distribution Network with Distributed Generation by the Neural Network Algorithm

In response to the government's proposal to properly control the development of thermal power, vigorously develop the planning of distributed generation (DG), the State Power Corporation has formulated corresponding policies to promote the development of DG. Based on the neural network algorithm, it proposes the reactive power optimization configuration on the basis of the location and capacity of DG in the power distribution network (PDN) and establishes a mathematical model for this configuration of the PDN with DG. The research results reveal that reactive power optimization by adding DG can effectively reduce the grid loss and the voltage deviation in the grid. Therefore, social and environmental benefits are achieved by improving the power supply quality of the PDN, reducing network losses, and increasing economic benefits.
