Abstract
The integrated design scheme of radar-communication systems based on chaotic shape-forming filter is proposed in this paper. At the communication receiver, the proposed method does not need chaotic synchronization and channel equalization, instead, the corresponding matched filter is employed to reduce the influence of noise and obtain a low bit error rate. At the radar receiver, the integrated signal generated by chaotic shape-forming filter has an ideal “pushpin” ambiguity function, with low sidelobes, narrow main lobes, and concentrated energy, which renders high performance for radar application. Finally, the communication and radar detection performance of the integrated radar-communication signal based on chaotic shape-forming filter is analyzed by simulation, and the results verify the superiority of the proposed integrated scheme.
