摘要
•Pt/CeO2 gives high catalytic performance in acetone hydrogenation at 80 °C and 1 atm.•Oxygen vacancies at CeO2 surface and particular Pt-CeO2 interface adsorb acetone.•Effective acetone adsorption is prerequisite to hydrogenate acetone efficiently.•Pt-CeO2 interface could be extended to other metal-oxide interfaces.•Generality of metal-oxide interface exists for acetone hydrogenation.
