Abstract
•Preparation of microspheres by simple soap free lotion and seed polymerization.•N, O doped three-layer composite microspheres were prepared.•Hollow porous carbon microspheres obtained by high temperature carbonization.•The optimal performance with RLmin is −52.05 dB with 2.48 mm-matching-thickness.•The maximum effective bandwidth (EAB) is 4.80 GHz of 2 mm-matching-thickness.
