摘要
•pH-controlled hydrothermal synthesis of FeWO4 nanorods with different sizes.•FeWO4-7 had more surface area, smaller bandgap, faster charge separation/transfer.•FeWO4-7 had higher activity in photo-Fenton catalytic degradation of methylene blue.•FeWO4-7 had higher activity in photocatalytic reduction of Cr(VI).•FeWO4-7 is stable in both photo-Fenton catalytic and photocatalytic applications.
