Abstract
•Cu/C hollow absorbing fibers were prepared using hollow ceiba fiber as template.•Cu/C hollow fibers exhibited excellent absorbing performance.•Cu/C hollow fibers had a minimum RL of −51.34 dB.•Cu/C hollow fibers had the widest absorption bandwidth of 6.1 GHz.•Hollow structure lengthened the wave transmission path and improve dielectric loss.
