Adaptive Anti-Jamming Beamforming Based on Time-Modulated Programmable Metasurface

This paper introduces the design method of adaptive anti-jamming beamforming based on time-modulated programmable metasurface. The amplitude and phase of the metasurface units can be weighted on the first harmonic component of the RF signal, by analyzing the harmonic component characteristics of received signals for adaptive beamforming and generation of interference null. The simulation results show that the harmonic components could realize equivalent synergetic amplitude and phase manipulation through time modulation, and the optimal weighted vector can be converted to time weighting by changing the opening and closing time of the channel switch, thus the harmonic adaptive beamforming can be realized. The generated beam is directed at a specific target, that is, the main lobe is formed in the direction of the desired signal and null is formed in the direction of the interference.
